what is plastic injection molding
An injection mold is a tool used for molding plastic products and is widely used in the plastic processing industry.
We will roughly analyze from several aspects, but we will not introduce the process of mold design here.
Injection molds include mainly two types: hot runner and cold runner. Generally speaking, for the same component, the price of hot runner molds is higher than that of cold runner molds. We will start analyzing hot and cold runners separately from another article. Of course, mold development and manufacturing require a certain level of professionalism, and you can also consult our engineers.

Structural compositions
Molding parts, including cavities and cores, are the parts in the mold that directly come into contact with plastic and form the shape of the product.
The pouring system: composed of a main channel, a diversion channel, a sprue, and a cold material cavity. Its function is to introduce molten plastic from the injection machine nozzle into the mold cavity.

Guiding mechanism: ensure accurate alignment of the moving and fixed molds during mold closing, usually composed of guide columns and guide sleeves.
Demolding mechanism: remove plastic products from molds after they are formed. Common demolding parts include push rods, push tubes, push plates, etc.
Cooling system: By setting cooling water channels in the mold, the plastic during the molding process is cooled to improve production efficiency and product

Working principle
When the injection mold is working, firstly, the plastic raw material is added to the barrel of the injection machine, heated to melt it into a melt with good fluidity. Secondly, the screw of the injection machine injects the molten plastic into the closed mold cavity through the nozzle. In the mold cavity, the plastic melt gradually solidifies and forms under pressure and cooling. During the product cools to a certain degree, the mold opens and the molded plastic product is pushed out of the mold through the demolding mechanism, completing one molding cycle.

Applications
Injection molds are widely used in many fields such as automobiles, home appliances, electronics, daily necessities, medical equipment devices, etc. For example, the bumpers, instrument panels, and interior parts of automobiles, the shells and components of household appliances, the shells and buttons of electronic products, plastic buckets and basins in daily necessities, as well as syringes and medication bottles in medical devices, are all produced through injection molding.
